Root canals
Each tooth is hollow, and it is in this hollow space where the nerve , or dental pulp,
is found. When the nerve becomes inflamed or infected from a large cavity or dies
a tooth ache results.
A root canal is a way to clean, sterilize and seal the hollow space – getting rid of the
tooth ache. An opening is made in the biting surface and special instruments are
used to clean and shape the canals. The sterilized space is then sealed.
While the reputation that root canals may have been true 30 or 40 years ago today they are a safe and comfortable procedure! "TELL ME MORE"!
